Every short clamp I own, plus a few from a friend.
If this was New Yankee Workshop they'd all be the same!
Oh well.

By the time I found the piece of walnut, had it re-sawn into 5/16" veneers, built the steambox, pre-bent all the pieces and then glued them up, I was over two months into this. I let it sit like this for a couple weeks. I figured the wood needed to rest.
I was fine.

Well, I got myself into a familiar situation.
Had I made these cuts wrong(or badly), I would have wasted 2 months work and $600.
I spent a long time laying the cuts out and cut them by hand.
Believe it or not, it gets a little confusing. But the ended up ok.

Here I've added maple to the inside.
Now I have many choices to make. Base, top and inside.
I'm leaning toward one thick chunk of maple for the top.
And I'm gonna have to think about the inside. I could leave it open, but a glass or maple door would be nice. Hinging it would be the prob
The pieces of pine on top and bottom in the picture are just there for protection.
